Fault-finding & diagnosis
Nuisance trips, unreliable sequences, alarm floods, a line that stops for no clear reason — found and fixed at the root, not patched over.
Independent control-system engineering — troubleshooting, optimisation and integration for the plants that can’t afford to stop. Deep experience in the process-heavy end of industry, and capable well beyond it.
Independent and vendor-neutral. We improve and troubleshoot the control systems you already have — whatever the brand — and we don’t sell you hardware you don’t need.
Pointed at the problems that cost you uptime and throughput — diagnosed by someone who understands the process, not just the panel.
Nuisance trips, unreliable sequences, alarm floods, a line that stops for no clear reason — found and fixed at the root, not patched over.
Reprogramming, tuning, sequence and logic redesign, alarm rationalisation, and SCADA/HMI visibility so problems are seen before they stop the line.
Migrations off obsolete hardware, retrofits, and tying machines, sensors and data into one working system. Line-voltage installation handled by licensed partners.
The deepest experience is in the harsh, process-heavy plants that depend most on their control systems. The same discipline applies to any operation where reliability matters — we’re not limited to one industry.
No large commitment to find out whether we can help. We start with the issue that’s hurting most, and earn the rest.
A fixed-fee visit to diagnose a specific problem — what’s wrong and a clear plan to fix it. Credited toward the work if you proceed.
The scoped fix — quoted as a fixed price for the outcome, delivered properly, tested, and documented.
Scheduled reviews, remote support and priority response — so the system stays reliable, not just fixed once.
Strule Automation is founded and run by Jonathan Gilmour, a time-served electrician with over 15 years in the trade. He served his apprenticeship in Northern Ireland, worked as an electrical foreman, and has spent his career hands-on in demanding industrial plants — organics recycling, waste, quarrying and mining. The firm takes its name from the River Strule, which runs through Omagh in County Tyrone.
The work is straightforward: understand the plant, fix the real problem, and stand behind it. Independent and vendor-neutral, honest scope and pricing, and safety that is never traded for a deadline.
Tell us what’s giving you trouble. The first conversation is free, and you’ll get a straight assessment.
